Q: How long will a new 2009 BMW 335i last before you have to replace parts?
My friends have been trying to talk me out of a BMW. People say that BMW’s are bad because when they break down it is very expensive to fix.
So I was wondering, how reliable is a brand new BMW or more specifically how reliable is a brand new BMW 335i?
Is it as bad as everyone makes it?
A: If the car is maintained then no worries. The engine is bullet proof.
Q: What color should I get my BMW 335i coupe in?
I’m ordering my BMW 335i coupe in a week or 2, but i was wondering what color i should get it in. Interior and exterior. I was thinking about Montego Blue with beige interior and wood trim. I also liked the saddle brown interior, but i don’t know what exterior color matches with it. Any opinions/suggestions?
A: Go to the dealership and sit in some models with the interior/exterior colours you’re thinking about.
It’s best to call ahead so they expect you and have someone at hand to show you around.
Do NOT decide on the day.
Go back at a later date then do it all again. If you choose the same combination again then that is really the one you like and should get.
If you’re still unsure or change your mind then repeat the whole prcess.
When your buying a pair of shoes don’t you ask for a variety of sizes and colours? Cars are like really expensive shoes.
Hey, if your spending many thousands on something, the least they can do is let you try it on for a few hours.
Afterall you can’t change you mind when you get it, not cheaply anyway.
Q: What type of turbos are recommended for the E92 BMW 335i coupe?
I need some suggestions on turbos for a BMW 335i coupe. If anybody knows some good websites that provide performance parts, please include that in your comment.
A: How about the turbo that it came with ? If 300 BHP isn’t good enough, look into other options such as intake, exhaust, ECU and headers. Look at the DINAN options and the Tuner companies, then go from there ..
Starting at $42,200 MSRP
3.0-liter, turbocharged inline 6-cylinder engine
300 horsepower
Rear-wheel drive
26 mpg hwy*
Q: How is the rev-matching in the bmw 335i automatic?
Looking into a new bmw 335i sedan.
For those of you who already own a 335i w/ steptronic, how is the rev-matching when you downshift? I know a lot of cars that do this well and not well, and the paddle shifters are a big thing for me, so how is it?
Any other complaints?
A: Never driven one with paddle shifters, But there was a small but noticable lurch, Very minimal though, on going down through gears at high speeds, Also I know for a fact that the 335i and d both have major problems with the fuel pumps. I’d read into it before buying one, though BMW’s warranty do cover the fuel pumps, IF it breaks withing the warrantly period, Ive heard of them going at 8k miles.
Q: How much to get a 2007 BMW 335i insured?
I have been looking for a beamer recently and I found one it’s a 2007 BMW 335i blue coupe and I was wondering how much insurance is for it in California.
I recently found a 2007 BMW 335i blue coupe that has around 27k of miles for only 26,950. I was wondering how much insurance would be in California. I am 19 years old with no traffic violations and this will be my first time buying a car.
I drive 12k a year commuting to school and work.
A: Hey maybe you should try calling your insurance company and getting an estimate dumbsh**…
God, I’m 16 and I figured that out
Q: how to inrease the horsepower of a bmw 335i sedan?
i have a 2007 bmw 335i and i was just wondering what’s an easy upgrade for better horsepower and torque?
thank you, your help will be appreciated!
A: how much do you want to spend? there is a few easy upgrades that would give you a day-night difference, to list some.
*Cheapest:
Spark plugs
Cold Air Intake (this can give you around 6hp or little more)
*Not so cheap but also not exaggerated
Headers (this can give you around 10hp increase or more)
ECU/Chip (this is a great deal, around 17hp increase)
High Flow Cats and a exhaust system (becomes more expensive)
If you care about my personal opinion the I’d say, Get a ECU reprogramming, a Cold Air Intake System (CAI) and you will feel the difference. Remember one thing takes you to the next, high performance upgrades can be expensive for this car, I would go with only those things for now, such as the CAI, ECU and Headers, you’ll feel the change, you rcar will be different and then you will be able to think about whether you want more or not, thats where deep pockets are needed.
Q: I’m thinking about getting a BMW 335i (black) Coupe prior to 2 years. What do you guys think about it?
I’m thinking about getting a BMW 335i Coupe (black) prior to 2 years. What do you guys think about it? Should i consider getting it as a coupe or sedan, personally i think coupe is sexier. Any ideas of any other cars i should consider, i like the new acura tl and audi s4, but i like the 335i best :]
A: Oh absolutely go for it! The 335i is an AWESOME car, looks REALLY sexy in black and even sexier in the coupe. It’s very fun to drive, gets pretty good MPG, is very fast and reliable and is just a great car. It’s absolutely terrible in snow though so if you’re planning to do that you might want to consider the 335xi (which has a little less power but you’ll be OK) if you’re planning to drive in snow. Have fun with it, it’s a GREAT car!!
Q: Whats the top speed of a chipped BMW 335i Coupe?
I’m planning to get my BMW 335i Coupe’s ECU chipped because i hear that it gives better performance and abviously it’d go up to 300km/h, but i wanna know how fast it would be exactly. And also, i wanna know how i can get it chipped: is it illegal or not; and the price range,
A: yeah ,you’d need to lower the suspension and have a couple down force pieces (front lip spoiler , rear spoiler roof spoiler etc) and change to a better tire , then a chipped 335 should hit 180 on a good day .
Q: Bmw m3 convertible or bmw 335i convertible?
I’m planning to buy one, which one is better. I love convertibles and bmw, i was amazed at the hard-top convertible technology. However, there are slight differences with the m3 cabriolet and 335i cabriolet, which one is better? If i could buy both, i would, but budget slacks off. One is enough. Haha.
A: It depends on what year the M3 is. If the M3 is the E46, then go for it. It typically gets solid resale and is part of BMW’s outstanding M division. It also has more HP than the 335i without the use of turbos. If the M3 is a E92, then get the 335i if you’re on a budget.
Q: What will the difference be between the 2007 BMW 335i and the 2008 version?
Does anyone know if it’s worth waiting for minor improvements in the 2008 version of the 335i (If there are any changes at all)? I hear that it’s best to wait a year after a new car has been out so that kinks can be worked out and improvements can be made.
A: you can check with dealer
Q: When buying a Bmw 335i Should i get it with Manual TRansmission or Automatic?
I just saw a 2007 335i car and wow it was just how i wanted but the thing was that it was automatic! =(
Do you suggest still buying it or just get another one with a manual transmission i want to feel the power!
A: You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here – carquotes.sinfree.net
Q: Is 40,000 miles for a CPO BMW 335i too many miles with 3 years left for CPO warranty to expire?
Trying to decide whether to purchase a 2007 335i that has 40,000 miles. It has 1 year of factor warranty left and 2 years/100k of CPO warranty on top of it.
A: If you plan to sell it in 3-4 years with less than 60k additional miles then it’s fine. That’s about 15 – 20k miles per year…a decent amount of driving.
The high-pressure fuel pump on 335i N54 is notorious for failure, it has a separate warranty to 100k and should also factor into your decision. Fyi, the 328i does not have that issue. Long term, 328i would be the better choice for reliability but the 335i would be much more fun to rip.

Q: Drove my BMW 335i into a dip in the road at 50mph, is damage possible?
There is no visual damage, with the exception of a scuff on the front bumper, where the majority of the impact occured. At first the car squeaked, and I thought I noticed a very small movement in the bumper. But hours later it drove fine, is damage possible, or likely?
A: Sounds like a little damage MAY be possible.
It should only be the paint, or maybe a crack in the front bumper.
Go under there and see.
You MAY also have some steering/suspension issues.
Take it to a garage if problems appear.
Good luck.
Q: How to you work the folding mirrors on a 2008 BMW 335i?
This is a US car and the manual references a button next to the “mirror selector” button that does not exist. I have one mirror folded in and one folded out – so it seems that can be managed individually..
Thanks!
A: There should be a small black button next to the mirror selector switch. (The switch that you slide left or right to adjust the outside mirrors.)
Push the button to fold in the mirrors push it again to set the mirrors back out to the driving position.
